OFFICIAL RULES

ELIGIBILIY: To be eligible you must be at least 18 years of age and a legal U.S. resident (residents of Florida and Rhode Island cannot participate). Employees, officers and directors of The Bon-Ton Department Stores, Inc. (the Sponsor), its subsidiaries, affiliated retailers, Promotion suppliers, their advertising agencies, and spouses of such employees (and the I.R.S. listed dependents or members of such employee’s household), are not eligible to enter or win any prize. By participating in this Promotion, all participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, and agree that the decisions of the Sponsor will be valid and binding in all respects.

HOW TO ENTER: No purchase necessary. To participate in this game, between August 3, 2008 and September 1, 2008, sign on to one of the following websites: bergners.com, bonton.com, bostonstore.com, carsons.com, elder-beerman.com, herbergers.com or younkers.com. When you enter the website you will be prompted to register your name, street address and e-mail address. Limit one entry per household per week. You may enter the contest only once per week, on only one website. Attempts at multiple daily entries on additional websites will disregarded. Free Internet access is available at any Public Library. Making a purchase will not increase the odds of winning a prize.

FOUR (4) PRIZES:–
(1) winner each week.  

Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prizes are unavailable for any reason.  All taxes, fees, and surcharges on the prize and all other expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.

The Prize is not transferable, assignable, returnable or redeemable for cash. 

WINNER SELECTION: Prize winners will be selected in weekly random drawings conducted on or about 8/10/08, 8/17/08, 8/24/08 and 9/1/08 from all entries received. The odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received. Prizes cannot be transferred, returned or exchanged for cash. If a prize is refused or prize notification is returned or deemed undeliverable, one alternate winner will be selected by random drawing. Winner will be notified by mail. Winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Release of Liability and a Publicity Release within 14 days of notification.  Failure to timely claim prize may result in the prize being forfeited and awarded to alternate winner as solely determined by Sponsor. Alternate winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Release of Liability and a Publicity Release within 14 days of notification. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and its advertising and promotional agencies to use the winner's name, photo and/or likeness and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without limitation and without additional compensation or permission unless prohibited by law. Upon request by Sponsor, winner will provide written consent for such use. No more than one (1) of each prize mentioned above will be awarded. The prize will not be awarded if the first or alternate winner do not accept the prize or respond within 14 days.

CONDITIONS: By entering, participants agree to: (a)  abide by these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsor which shall be final in all respects; (b) release Sponsor, its divisions, retail stores, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotion agencies, their respective directors, officers and employees from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from the participant’s  participation in the Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the any prize, and (c) acknowledge that Sponsor has neither made nor is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any merchandise selected during the shopping spree including, but not limited to, its quality. Noncompliance with the official rules will result in disqualification. The Sponsor reserves the right to end the Sweepstakes earlier than September 1, 2008 or to extend the length of the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes if it is determined that it is not capable of completion as planned due to tampering or any other cause.

WINNER/RULES: To obtain the names of winner or copy of the official rules via mail, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Bon-Ton Junior Back-to-School Sweepstakes Requests, 331 W. Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53203. Specify “winners list” or “rules” on your request.
